Coycoe for Classes · Music
Private lessons are where a music school starts — not where it ends. Coycoe for Classes runs 1:1 lessons, group classes, and the whole front office in one system, at one flat price that doesn’t grow every time you hire a teacher.
Recurring private lessons with individual teachers, on the same calendar as your group classes and ensembles — one schedule for the whole school, not one per teacher.
Bill by the lesson or by the term. Lesson counts, rates, and family balances stay attached to the enrollment, so a month with five Tuesdays bills correctly without anyone counting.
One family account holds the piano kid, the guitar kid, and dad’s Saturday lesson — one bill, sibling discounts applied across all of it.
Theory classes, rock bands, summer camps with member/non-member pricing and deposits — same enrollment, waitlist, and billing machinery as everything else.
Method books, rentals, and accessories post to the family account as labeled charges, reported by category next to tuition.
Summer off, a semester abroad — freeze the enrollment and tuition together, and the student’s teacher slot and history are there when they return.
If you’re comparing music school software, you’ve probably met My Music Staff. It’s genuinely good and genuinely cheap — $16.95/mo plus $4.95 per teacher — and teachers love it, with reason. If your school is a handful of teachers doing lessons and not much else, it may honestly be all you need, and we won’t pretend otherwise.
Two things change as a school grows. First, the per-teacher math: every hire raises your software bill, whether or not they fill their schedule.
| Teachers | My Music Staff | Coycoe for Classes |
|---|---|---|
| 5 teachers | $41.70/mo | $69/mo up to 150 active students — teacher count doesn’t matter; $99/mo above 150 |
| 12 teachers | $76.35/mo | |
| 20 teachers | $115.95/mo |
Competitor prices checked October 2026 from their public pricing pages. Coycoe pricing counts students with active enrollments only.
Second, the scope: a mature school is a front office, not a lesson book — enrollment and waitlists for group classes, camps, retail, family accounts spanning instruments, and tuition that has to be chased when cards fail. Coycoe is the full-studio system: enrollment, scheduling, and billing fused, with a dunning ladder that recovers roughly six in ten failed payments (the average school leaks about $13.9k a year there). Families get a portal and mobile app, included.
Up to 150 active students. Every feature, every teacher, included.
151+ active students — the top tier, uncapped. Tuition runs through your own Stripe, straight to your bank; Coycoe takes no percentage, ever.
Switching from another system? Students and classes import over, and cards on file are re-collected through a secure link families actually complete — see how migration works. Optional website add-on: $50 setup + $19/mo, on your own domain.
Other school types: gymnastics · martial arts · dance
